A convincing digital portrait begins with the client — their ideas, their story, and the photographic references they provide. Through a collaborative back-and-forth process, these foundational concepts are translated into genuine digital sculptures built meticulously utilizing rigorous anatomical sculpting.
This process is where raw reference meets artistic interpretation. It grants absolute creative control over character stylization and expressive ideas, ensuring the final piece captures not just a physical likeness, but the specific mood and surface complexity required by top-tier advertising and cinematic VFX pipelines.

Pipeline
The pipeline to photorealism requires multiple specialized toolsets operating in tandem. Once the primary macro anatomy is locked using Zremesher and reprojection, micro-surface details (pores, dermal wrinkles) are applied via Textures XYZ displacement projections.
Color grading and skin diffuse map painting are handled in Adobe Substance Painter, capturing the complex subsurface variations across the face. Finally, groom generation (whether using Maya's XGen or Blender's geometry nodes) and lighting are assembled in Blender Cycles. Multi-layer subsurface scattering (SSS) material setups are utilized to replicate the specific light-absorbing properties of the epidermal, dermal, and subdermal layers.
